Drip Coffee
Praia De Luz, Portugal
5 Days
About Project:
I spent the month of June in Portugal and ended up meeting Fred (funnily enough we met in a coffee shop!), a very friendly guy from Bristol who had just moved over to start a new life in Portugal. He was getting ready to open his new café, Drip Coffee, and needed a website. Fred had a really clear vision, he didn’t just want a place for people to grab a coffee and leave. He wanted to create something more like a “third space” somewhere people could relax, connect, and slow down a bit. Inspired by the chilled-out feel of Balinese coffee shops, he was building something really special, and I was very excited to be part of it. Even better, since we were both in the algarve, we got to meet in person instead of Zooming - something I’ve seriously missed since everything went remote after Covid.
Ideation and Result:
Fred wanted something that felt relaxed and modern, but also had a bit of soul. We kept the site simple and clean, letting the story and vibe speak for itself. I used warm tones, lots of white space, and easy flow - fred wanted the site to feel like the café itself. It was a straightforward brochure-style build that is mobile-first and highlights what they do best - great coffee, a laid-back vibe, and a menu that’s easy to find and browse. It includes a simple Instagram integration, opening hours, location, and contact form - all the essentials without overcomplicating things. As Fred knew what he wanted and had everything ready to go, we got it done in just five days including SEO optimisation, content development, setup of Google My Business and Google Search Console. It was a great little project to work on, and if you run a café or restaurant and want a site that really reflects your style, I’d love to help bring it to life - drop me a message.
